S.D. Busack 1982 -48- 24 MAY "cont'd" by children writing cigarette, spare change, and writing us to buy hashish. So again stuff. Hashish is the over only cash crop and the odor is in the air throughout the comp. Pleasant place to work -- at night the stereo tape decks go on, all with different music, the kaleidoscope of noise is a real detriment to our wanting to continue staying here, even at $0.69/day. After putting up camp, I collected one Podarcis hispanica (1274, ♀, 2.3g, 52+ 90C; 2 yolked follicle right, 1 left) and one Tarentola mauritania (1275, ♀, 4.0g, 55+ 37R) in the large rocks to the NW of the compound. There are more but my "rubber band aim" seems to have deteriorated somewhat. 25 MAY MOROCCO: CHECHAOUÈN, MUNICIPAL Compound. We survived the noisy night and have decided to collect to the E. of the compound where there is an open field with herbaceous vegetation (low- lying palm-like) and many rocks. We collected one T. mauritania (1283, ♂, 6.0g, 64+34R; Tb = 32°, Ta = 28.5°) and 7 Psammo- dromus algirus (1276, ♀, 3.2g, 48+127R; 1277, ♀, 3.0g, 50+125C; 1278, ♀, 12.0g, 81+170R,
