we found TARENTOLA MAURITANICA to
be = common and difficult to catch.
We did catch one and we purchased
two more (1164, ?, 12.5g, 77+35R; 1170, ?,
7.0g, 63+63C; 1171, ?, 2.0g, 44+B) along
with a PSAMMODROMUS ALGERIUS (1172, ?,
2.5g, 45+80R). I collected a NATRIX
maura (1173) under a large, flat rock
in a shady area.

MOROCCO: ASILAH, ~ 18 km S. on Road
to RABAT.
In this area there is a bridge
on the 2° road which crosses the
same river as the bridge on the main
highway. We collected in the area of
the bridge on the 2° road and found
6 RANA PEREZI (1174, ? [dead on animal],
13g, 51 SVL) (1175, ?, 17g, 52 SVL; 1176, ?,
28.25g, 64 SVL; 1177, ?, 36.50g, 70 SVL; 1178,
?, 76g, 86 SVL; and 1179, ?, 110g, 95 SVL),
5 MAUREMYS LEPROSA (1180, 18.5g, 45C,38P;
1181, 23.75g, 54C, 44P; 1182, 23.0g, 51C, 42P;
1183, 35g, 59 C, 50P; 1184, 32g, 57C, 47P),
and 4 HYLAMERIDIONALIS (1185, ?, 3.4g, 38 SVL;
1186, ?, 5.4g, 45SVL; 1187, ?, 5.0g, 40 SVL;
and one baby which won't tissued.
