Today we left MENDES, where, incidentally,
there is what must be the best campground
in Morocco. Perhaps will return.
We drove first to DAYET-ER-
ROUMI (=10 km S. of KHEMISSET) where there
is trout fishing and a compound with
about 3 sites. At this time of year,
the camp is empty but still costs 30DH
(≈$5.35) a night. The lake looks
artificial and has little vegetation
around it -- it's very cold and
windy and we left.
After futility overtook us as
we tried to find the PLACE at SAGÉ
and Sundance Village Camp, we
went on down the road to MEHDIA-
PLACE where there is a 10DH/night
campground -- which will be nice
when they get water and sanitary
facilities -- which we left. On into
KENTRA and the municipal campground
there where we will camp tonight.
Since we've gotten nothing but
frustration out of the past two days,
we are going collecting tonight because
I can hear Bufo MAROCANUS and
HYLA MERIDIONALIS calling in the distance.
The campground in KENTRA is located
