14 APR small rapidly flowing stream and intersect
"cont's" with a road which goes NE to Zoco-
TLETE-DE-TAGRAM to see what we
could find. A Podarcis hispanica was
on the bridge and several Mauromys
leprosa inhabit both water and channel
to the W. of the bridge. Jonne managed
to collect one of these, #SDB 1093, 66g,
80mm C, 67 mm P, immature.
We drove on, looking in vain
and somewhat in disgust at conditions
around and, finding nothing between
here and TANGER, took P-38 south
and E. back to where it intersected
with the road to CHECHAOUEN. 17 km
W. OF TETOURN, in a culvert along P38
at KM. 12, we collected one TARICOLA
MAURITANICA (1094,?, 16g, 79+59 R).
Moved on into CHECHAOUEN
and made camp in the pouring rain.
Later that evening, after sunset, we
drove the road from CHECHAOUEN to
BAB TAZA and collected our first
ANURANS. 0.5 km E. we found our
first Alytes obstetricans (1098, 4.4g, 36mm, )
and then proceeded to find Hyla
medicinalis at 8.7 and 9.2 km SE.
