24 MAR 1982 smaller fell to the ground -- a distance of
~ 1 meter. While we were not successful
in capturing either of these 2 individuals,
the presumption is that both are OB?
at this large bridge, we did catch 1 P.
hispanica (879, ?, 3.6g, 55 SVL, 107 Tail C;
H,L,S,I, 1332 hrs, 27.6°C Tb, 21.0° TA.)
12.8 km E, at 360m, in a culvert
a Natrix natrix (887, ?, 83g, 540 SVL +
161 Tail; H,L,S, 14/10 hrs, 18.4°C Tb, 21.0° TA,
young Bufo bufo in stomach).
13.1 km E at 380m on a bridge
abutment, P. hispanica (878, ?, 3.6g, 55 SVL,
101 Tail R; H,L,S,I, 1446 hrs, 30.5°C Tb, 21.0° TA,
stomach contained one millipede.) captured.
13.9 km E at 380m due in a field
which has a stream running through it to
the S. The stream forms 2 small pools
at its left fork. In this vicinity,
two Discoglossus pictus (890, ?, 9.3g, 45 SVL;
H,L,S,I, 1535 hrs AND 891, ?, 9.2g, 45 SVL,
H,L,S,I, 1537 hrs) were collected in the grass
along the stream. The ? contained many eggs.
In the stream, under a piece of cardboard,
was a Natrix maura (889, ?, 10g, 245 SVL +
74 Tail; H,L,S, 1530 hrs, 17°C Tb, 22° TA [water]).
Jeanne found a Mauremys leprosa (892, ?,
98g, Carapace 86, Plastron 72; L,S,I, 1545 hrs).
