S.D. BUSACK 1982 2 21 MAR 1982 frog) chown. 24 MAR 1982 SPAIN: CDIZ PROV.; FACINAS, on the road E. to LOS BARRIOS. Although the day was rather windy, the sun shone intermittently and because of this I collected along this once off-travelled route. When I was here in 1969-1972, this road was barely possible in a VW; now it is almost a truck route, paved and all. But the bridge abutments and culvert still stand and the river remains much as it was 10 years ago. Mostly grazing cattle and a few goats, little cultivation. 10.3 km E. of Facinas, we found 1 Psammodromus algirus (SOB 877), 2 Tarentola mauritanica (SOB 884-885), and 1 Podarcis hispanica (SOB 883) at a bridge abutment which had a small stream passing under it. Because the Spanish government (ICONA) forbids me to take any specimens from Spain, I am adopting an abbreviated format for my catalogue and will record all data in these pages. P. ALGIRUS (877) 9.0g, 75mm SUL, TAIL COMPLETE. Heart (H), Liver (L), Stomach (S), Intestine (I). Saved (DEAD x4hrs)
