P. Brylski 1982 1.0 mi W Coso Jct, Inyo Co., Calif. 22 April recorded... The ? longimembris were also slightly scarred but probably less so than more sv.. I put the ? long., 4 meriamii in plastic huilding cages ( sm, lg, resp.) put micro seeds, lettuce, & cotton w/ & placed them in the shop at Rosevalley Ranch. This afternoon trapped pocket gophers on Rosevalley Ranch. Set ~15 macables in alfalfa seed & collected 3?? -2 dead , one alive. The aline individual joined the long. + meriamii in the shop. 23 " Caught many more animals today - didn't keep tight records since am only interested in pregnant females. Still, caught many ? meriamii which had given birth already. Saved several ?? which didn't seem to be nursing young. Also, the P. longimembris are in good breeding form. Many pregnant ?? were cought , though mostly "mid-pregnancy" judging from degree of distension. Several however, seem due to have babies in next week. Also trapped more gophers at Rosevalley Ranch. One which we took alive & a macable yesterday was dead today. ~~~Another large animal was taken w macable aline today.
