1 km W, 4 km N Santa Ana, Prov. San Jose Costa Rica
with an equally promising understory of many logs etc. Can't understand why we didn't catch anything. En route to this locality
last evening we looked around for other suitable habitat between Escazu, Ciudad Colon, Santa Ana etc. (all along Hwy 7). The director of the cellular & molecular biology lab at UCR told us of a forest mature -1 extensive out this way.
El + I found the Futuro Zoologin Park outside of Colon --> too park-like (open rolling hills w) much cropped grass, small copses of trees)
for rodents. How did the caretaker want us to trap there. So we drove out the Hwy N of Santa Ana leading toward the freeway which runs east to San Jose. Anyways - we caught nothing there.
630 pm out of Cocori to meet the OTS folks for dinner.

packed up our things at 11am, went to the university to pick up our supplies, etc. The hotel bill was $380 for all three of us split-night (@$462 to the dollar). 12pm leave university for Turrialba vicinity (east of Cartago).
