P. Bryloski 1977 Journal 0.2 miles south mission la soledad, Monterey Co. California 2 December. 9:50 PM. Established camp ~ 2pm today adjacent to irrigated pasture where gopher activity looks high. re < 1week mound densities (nearly all fresh) old are high -> probably from 20 to 50 / acre. The pasture is bounded by the KITZ MILLER RD - Fort Romie Rd intersection immed. to the NW. The owners were glad to give permission to me, provided I took the gophers I captured with me. Haven't much choice with the kill-traps. The pasture is ~ 20 acres, composed mainly of clover and (unk) grass in varying relative densities. Ground cover is 100% except where gopher mounds surface. Cover height is ~ 7-13 cm. ARROYO SECO RD OFFRAMP FOR HWY 101 2 MILES KITZ MILLER RD Fort Romie Rd 90 N slope ~ 7 acres fence ~ 8 Acres fence ~ 5 Acres FENCE Ferrageis residence NORTH
