Gooseberry, thimbleberry, blackberry, salmonberry (20) — Meadow very wet this morning. Heavy showers during the night. Morning overcast, no wind, warm. 4 traps set in thicket brush bordering Douglas Fir, grand fir, alder caught no animals, but two were sprung. Trap under Douglas fir above Pavilion contained a ♂ Neotoma. Trap dragged 6 ft. down slope. Frances and I went a short distance into the forest North of meadow. Trees grow thickly: Douglas fir, grand fir, a few pines, alder, chinquapin.
