Boulware, ST 1941 15 May 25 Russian Duleh State Park, 40 ft.; Mendocino Co., Calif. One of the Peromyscus was discarded as mangled in rat-trap set in one of numerous rabbit runs in grass on edge of brush. Two rat-traps thus set baited with prune, but no rabbits. Trap set along trail leading to meadow also baited with prune sprung and containing 2 whiskers. Nests of the usual stick variety. Species seen on and near meadows: Brush rabbit, Zapus oavis, flye, chickadee, Pileolated Warbler, Wren-tit, Song Sparrow. 2:30 PM Frances came in with a & chipmunk caught in one of rat traps set under Douglas Fir above pavilion 4:45 PM Fran and I climbed up three trees of south slope opposite camp to see what we could see, especially Red Tree Mouse.
