June 4 Point Barrow, Alaska
In the Village an ashino woman stood holding
Two early this afternoon. One goose had black
splotches of feathers in the breast. The first
of this species was noted May 29 at the lead in
front of the village when Frank Pitelha iden-
tified me that flew slow to the north over
a whole butchering party.
June 12 One in central marsh, foraging alone.
June 16 One pair at Barrow #3 appeared to be es-
tablished and evidently is nesting for the
birds returned twice in the 1/2 hour we
were at the camp site.
