Drove 18 miles from camp along the road leading over the mt. to Santa Clara - to 6200 ft. west from Parrita.
Birds observed.
Brewer Sparrow - most abundant bird in lower portion of canyon but still present at 6200 ft.
Junco (red-backed) very abundant 5500 to 6200 ft. el.
Western Sparrow - common
Brown Towhee - common
Pyrrhuloxia - 3 ♂ & ♀ feeding on prickly pear fruit.
Dove, mourning, abundant
Dove, white-winged - 1 (collected)
Jay (Scrub) - 20
