journal Borell 63 March 6, Ojo Laguna (Cont) Drove 18 miles from camp along the road leading over the mt. to Santa Clara - to 6200 ft. west from Parrita. Birds observed. Brewer Sparrow - most abundant bird in lower portion of canyon but still present at 6200 ft. Junco (red-backed) very abundant 5500 to 6200 ft. el. Western Sparrow - common Brown Towhee - common Pyrrhuloxia - 3 ♂ & ♀ feeding on prickly pear fruit. Dove, mourning, abundant Dove, white-winged - 1 (collected) Jay (Scrub) - 20 Red-tailed hawk - 1 Black Phoebe - 1 Gray Phoebe - 3 Oyen (Bewick) - 1 Robin - 1 Roadrunner - 2 Green-winged Teal ♂ & ♀ together in Turkey Buzzard and - 1 [pool i creek] Sparrow Hawk - 2 Killdeer - 2.
