Journal 8 E. Borell Ojo Sagua, Chichahue, Cthh. Mex. 1963 March 6 Less wind but much colder - 18 deg F. at 7:30 am. made a short trip into the marsh this morning and again this evening. Birds seen in and adjacent to the marsh were the same as for the past several days except the following Coot - 1 (collected) Diaz Ducks - 9 (1 collected) Scallop guail - flock of 30 - six taken. all were in good flesh but not fat. Crops full (saved) guail have not been heard calling and the gonads of those taken show no enlargement.
