At present there is only one poor homemade boat on the lake. when boats become available we can expect duck hunting to increase. although quail trapping is common here we saw no evidence of duck trapping. Nov 29 Spend the day packing. In the evening took a short bike around the head of the lake. b Common Goldeneye - just one seen. mourning doves. During this past few days here doves were common but not abundant. On Nov 25 they suddenly increased. By ? Apparently they reached their peak yesterday when flocks of 2 or 3 hundred were seen. I saw 50 & 100 doves in each of several dead trees yesterday evening.
