Obviously they had been trapped. Nov 25 Hiked up the Rio Santa Clara and around the upper end of the lake. some birds seen- Mearns quail -1 Mourning dove - 200 Spotted Sandpiper - 2 Wilson Snipe - 30 Killdeer - 6 Western (Least?) Sandpiper - 20 Kingfisher - 1 wild, unable to collect it. Eared Grebe - 3 Ruddy duck - 8 Scamp (Lesser?) -1 Bufflehead - 3 Tealbill - 4 White Throated Sparrow - 1 Red Tailed Hawk
