Chihuahua Mex Nov. 23 Hiked up the Rio Santa Clara To a point where I could wade It above where it empties into the lake, then hiked down stream and along the east side of the lake where I collected a bufflehead duck. Later I hiked through the mesquite and cholla near camp on the west side of the lake Birds seen: Bufflehead - 1 Mallard - 30 Mexican Duck - 6 Green-winged Teal - 25 Spoonbill - 6 Ruddy duck - 10 Pintail - 5 Sparrow hawk - 2 Sharp shinned hawk & - 1 Marsh hawk - 1 Red-tailed hawk - 1 Wilson Snipe - 30 Willdeer - 8 Spotted Sandpiper - 2 Scamp - 1 - first seen.
