Summary Apr 21 - May 20 Continued

peromyscus, less abundant than
in 1963. no formal trap lines were
run but last year and this year
traps were kept set in favorable
places to keep mice out of camp
supplies. Last year I felt that the
population was greater and did-
supply more emphaustable than
in any place that I was ever in.
Last year my traps continued to
catch peromyscus throughout the two
months we were here. The traps were
set in the same spots night after
night. This year camp is in
exactly the same spot and many
of the traps are along the adobe
wall and beside the trailer tires where
they were in 1963. This year Apr 21-
May 20, ten traps caught 2 or 3
peromyscus each night for the
first week. During the past three
weeks the catch of peromyscus has
averaged 3 per. week from the ten
traps. Most of them were adults,
very few of the 50 were pregnant
