Cool sunny morning, cloudy & wind
in the afternoon 54° at 6 am.
Took a trip through the
mesas.
Scaled quail - 20 all in pairs
Snipe no lone birds seen
I suspect that the Fs are laying
but have not started incubation.
Blue grosbeak, 2 & pursuing one &
Black-throated Sparrows - 2 pairs
Mocking bird - 5 singing, presumably 2?
Brown headed Cowbirds 2 & 3?
Wilson warbler - none
Black-headed grosbeak - none
western tanager - none
Jackrabbit - 3 adults, one 1/3 grown.
The first young one seen this year.
