Blustery last night, a few drops of rain,
a few showers in vicinity, some
thunder & light mg. 60°F at 6 a.m.
Bird notes.
Little change from past few days.
White Cr. Sparrow - 55 counted 17 in one group.
Brewer Sparrows - 2 (one shot but not pierced)
Lincoln " -1
Painted bunting 1 F
Cuckoo (???) one heard
Wilson warbler - 2
Audubon warbler- ♂ & ♀
yellow warbler 2♂ 3♀
yellowthroat - ♂
Blue grosbeak 1ad ♂ 1im ♂
Black headed grosbeak 1♀, 1♂
Western tanager 1♂ 1♀
Orchard Oriole common in mesquite &
around cottonwoods. At least two pairs possibly
three pro. Try to establish territories in the
four cottonwoods around our trailer. Watched
♀ followed by ♂ carry carefully selected, saunter
grass fibers (6 in long) to a partially completed
nest in the pendant branches of a cottonwood.
nest is 15 ft from the ground.
