journal Boell 1964 Ojosajuno, 5200ft, Cuitlahua, mex May 10 A beautiful day - little wind Took a 2 mile hike through the marsh and mesquite and catclaw. Catclaw about 1/2 leaf. Mesquite now almost in full leaf - many in bloom or past bloom. The general tone of the vacations flat is "dead grass" - not enough green to noticeably change the color Bird notes Diaz ducho - one pair, 2 lone ? possibly the 2 are laying day Spotted sandpiper, first one seen here Wilson snipe, one - collected, proved to be a ? fat, over 2 x 2. Pigot - 3 Dark sparrow 2 pairs Raven - 8 Mocking bird - 3 Coots - 2 Indigo bunting - 2, one ? was intermediate Black headed Grosbeak 4? 2 ?
