Journal 13 Borell 1964 San Lorenzo, 5000 ft., Santa Clara, Chihuahua Mex. Rio May 1st made a trip from Ojo Sajuma to San Lorenzo which is village on the Rio Santa Clara about 13 miles up the river (south) from Flores Magon. The river bottom between Flores m. and San Lorenzo is irrigated and farmed to maize, cotton and other crops. We were told that this farm land continues up the river for another 10 miles. San Lorenzo is a beautiful spot with many shade and fruit trees, flowers, gardens, irrigation ditches and old adobe houses. Here we met Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Siemens, American missionaries representing the Church of God and Christ. Visiting them were two other missionaries by the name of Peters - both had beards. Mr. and Mrs. Siemens were friendly and cooperative. Mr. Siemens who has been in San Lorenzo for 2 1/2 years, told us that last week he and three Mexican friends saw four deer on the hill across the
