Birds seen: Deer ducks - two along this river Greater yellowlegs - 1 along this river. Wilson's and Audubon's warblers seen in cottonwoods & willows. Curve-billed thrashers - much more common than around Ojo Laguna. 2 linneto? Cactus wrens - More common than at Ojo Laguna. Brewer Sparrows, green-tailed towhees, white cr. Sparrow - about the same numbers as at Ojo Laguna. Scaled quail - 1 flock of 5. One (3?) dashing about with spread wings. White-winged dove - two (not together) Humming bird(?) - 1 - first seen Mourning doves - abundant in pairs or small groups.
