Made a trip around the ponds,
Through the brush and among the alamos.

✓ Amer. Bittern - 1 collected
✗ Orange Cr. warbler - 1 shot but not preserved
✗ Solitary Vireo - 1 collected
✓ Parula? Warbler 1 collected
White Cr. Sparrows - 3 caught in mouse
traps - both races represented - gonads not
enlarged
Green-tailed Towhees still abundant
Yellowthroat collected - second one seen
Vermillion Flycatcher - saw female "forming"
nest in alamo about 20 ft. from ground
Wilson Snipe - still common - flushed 4 from
one small wet all
Snow Geese - Small flock flew north at 8 P.M.
Brewer Sparrows - still abundant
Vesper " " "
Reptiles
Killed my second rattlesnake at 6.30
P.M. near camp. A small red one,
Legless lizards still scarce.
