CERBorell Ojo Saguna, Chihuahua, 5000 ft. el mexico
April 7.
Warm day - made a trip to
Gallego, El Sueco, Ricardo Flores, Magon,
Buena Ventura and Presa El Tintero.
The latter is 37 miles south of Buena-
ventura over rough road. We spent a
short time in the morning and again in
the evening along the Rio Santa Clara
where the highway crosses it.
The only new bird seen was one
Inca dove. It was near a house as
we couldn't collect it. Saw two black
phoebes near the highway bridge.
Between Camp and Gallego saw two
flocks (about 30 each) of scaled quail.
There was no signs of pairing but
two birds made several passes
at each other with spread wings.
They are building a new peresa
on the Santa Clara (Rio del Carmen)
about 4 miles above R.F. Magon.
