86 Journal 2 & Boell Ojosaguna, Chihuahua, Mexico 1963 March 22 Cold windy day - 40° F. at 8 am - 58° at 1 p.m. Walked around the ponds near Canga, made a trip to the big lake. X Observations near Canga. see over Crows, groups of 2, 3, ad 15 flying over, lighting in corn field. Thresher? - 1 Spotted Towhee - 1 Ducks = none Grackle - pair Yellow-headed Blackbird - 1 f Long spur, chestnut collared - flock of 30 Brewer Sparrow - still abundant. Wilson Sapsucker - usual number. Observations at the lake - Gadwall - 1 f alone Mallard - 5 with pair of spoonbills Spoonbill - 3 in same area where there were about 200 or 217 ad 48 on Mar 19. Shot one g, than, taken small 2 x 8 mm. Bantam sandpiper - 100 Snowy Plover - 6 Crane (little brown or sandhill?) Recent tracks of several ad tracks of 3 made yesterday or today.
