13:00 - Went with Bob Jones & Bill Rogers up to Campanile. Saw the tiercel Peregrine sitting on the stucco ledge of east face of the campanile. The peregrine is very much at ease, sitting relaxed.
14:00 - 14:15: Went w/ Bill Rogers up to 10 floor east balcony of Evans. Put scope on the bird - it's still sitting on the stucco ledge of the east face. Obvious bulge in crop. The peregrine made several head-crop movements to possibly settle the food into the crop better. The bird must have eaten very recently. It was resting one on one leg, occasionally closing one or both eyelids - dozing.
17:45 - Peregrine still on east stucco ledge. When I moved to get a better view, the next time I looked up, the falcon was gone. It had moved quickly to the SW corner of the ledge just beneath the top glass light structure at the pinnacle of the campanile. There it sat, intently looking about at first, then "relaxing" more as time went on. The six o'clock bells, and jingles, did not frighten it. When I left at 18:15, nearing dusk, it was still sitting up there.
23:45 - 24:00 a quick check revealed the peregrine had moved back down to the east stucco ledge for roosting.
October 22, 1988. Checked Campanile at 16:00 and at 19:00, no peregrine anywhere in sight. The day is sunny,
