Said goodbye to Dave & Audrey [Chris, Leo, Ivan]. Dave is a logger on Marsby. They were very nice & helpful, and we enjoyed talking away each evening. For all the boat rides Dave only wanted $20.00. We took the ferry back to Queen Charlotte City, then drove up to Mosett for dinner. Back to Port Clements to pick up my other gulls. Said goodbye to Michael & [illegible] Janet Brown. Saw an ad. Red-tail between Port Clements and Queen Charlotte City, and loads of deer. We departed The Queen Charlotte at about 23:30 on the ferry. Slept on deck. Heavy rain towards morning. Arrived in Prince Rupert at 07:30 the next day. July 31, 1988 We drove out the Yellowhead Highway (16) east to Terrace, about 146 km away. Nice trip. Wide inlet & river [The Skeena].
