Field Notes Doug Bell July 13, 1988 guess, no trees. Widely-spaced pairs of resting gulls visible, some incubating. Clummed gulls in thread, shot 5 gulls (8 shells, of which one bird was hit twice, but flew on). I sort of had to wait for adult C-WC's to come by out of all the immen and Ring-bills (OAB 389-393). Weathering clearing at times. Kingfisher, Violet-green Swallow, Barn Swallows, Winter Wrens, Summer's Thrushes around. One Great Blue Heron is particularly vocal. In all 8 shells for 5 birds, no wounded. Nearly all the birds got
