4) On SE-E slope of southern peninsula of head itself: 29 nests
One of which is hybrid B; Hybrid E (WG), located atop the
peninsula, on a grassy tussck.
5) Directly in front of platform, on mainland. 4 nests right
in front. One has hybrid E (very close to WG type) - light

7) Outmost rock 17 WG nests |hundreds Munros, Brandts
cornments).
8) Rock just SW of point: 23 nests; H & BWG fighting
choking
dff other gulls, together.
on fence I counted 6 WG, 1 Hyb (light eyring), 1 GWG [pink
eyering dark iris] od another Hyb [pink eyering, darker tip!.
18:30-19:05 Tried trapping on Reach at OSU dock area - no
luck. Gulls too wary of trap rigs.
19:40 - Back at Yaquina Head. Walked out to
area behind first part of quarry. Nest of Western Gulls
on ridge top. Counted 14 WG, 2 Hyb + 1 GW soaring above
me. The weather has really mellowed out - was hot and
sunny this afternoon. It is now moderately windy, but
not bad.

with. Ate breakfast, then drove up to the bridge.
