7:07 AM - With Todd in truck - at Goat Rock. &
perch on snag (A). 7:10 AM- we parked truck,
walked out SE ridge to observation point. I seen
sitting in pothole on , standing on right corner. When
we reached obs. point, she walked over to left corner
of pothole, settled down into left corner - hunched
a bit, looked almost as if she was eating, then
settled down like a hen at 7:15 AM. & on snag
way over to right of rock (B). 7:30 - & left snag (B),
lost sight of him, heard scream, somewhat
deep & joined, then at 7:34 & reappeared on
snag (C). 7:38 & cast. 7:39 & off snag (E)
flying direction to east. 7:42 & flew past
rock face, circled a couple times at
pothole level, then scream, then up to
snag for upper right. 7:44 & off, quick
to east. I had shifted on eggs.
8:16 - I still on eggs in pothole - actually peering
out, watching stuff. Her head is just visible
over ledge - can even see her bill, eyes, water.
When Todd left at 8:06, he started up
the truck. This caused ? to pop her head
up, and really look in the direction of sound.
8:32 - I still in pothole, or nest, looking about.
Can hear voices & dogs from Mark Boos
place. 8:34 - I resettled on eggs - shook off a
shightly, resettled.
