Behle 1933. Mad river ford, 2700 ft. above Ruth, Trinity Co. calif. May 25- ran Gilmores trap line this morning with the following results: one adult ? gopher; one immature gopher, one ? Eutamias sonomae on log up side canyon, no embryos - Decayed one ? P. m. gambeli ; one gerchoestus taken in trap at water edge. One jackrabbit seen. Black headed grosbeaks seen very numerous around the barn below our camp and a great many Western Kingbirds are foraging along the old river bottom. 75 Gerhoestus wt. - Taken in mouse trap 1 mi. up side canyon below camp. 76 ? Western kingbird wt. 38 grams - Taken from willow in second rivers bottom. Ova 80 77 ? Black-headed grosbeak wt 41.6g. Ova 23 Shot on ground on slope at base of a scrub oak brush. 78 ? Western wood pewee 15.3g. Toots O Taken at 5200 ft. on Horse Ridge by R.M. Gilmore on May 24th. May 26- Rodent traps set last night at the bases of large black Oak and douglas Spruce Trees caught but one Neotoma fuscipes . Four other traps
