Behle 1933 Mead Riverford, 2700 ft. Above Ruth, Trinity Co. Calif. May 23 v 72 f Alaska Scaled Warbler 6.1 g ovary: Taken in cottonwoods near streamside May 22nd. v 73 f Western Bluebird 27.8 g ova::: This f was the mother of the five young taken with the nest. v 74 m Chestnut-backed Chickadee 9.5g. Tister large O Taken by R.M. Gilmore in grove of Oaks at bottom of Littlefield Canyon. In making the rounds baiting the trap line this afternoon one f Eurasian was found at base of small pine tree. The night before last was a bitter cold night. A crust of ice 1/8 to 1/4" in thickness covered the water basin and at 6:30 P.M. the camp thermo- meter read 33 deg F. All day long it was cold cloudy and rained off and on clearing up between spells. Then late in the afternoon it started to drizzle and kept it up steady all night long. Today with we have had some rain it has been for the most part warm and sunny - the first real sun we have experienced. In spite of the rain last night the trap line catch was good as
