Its death was probably the result of an attack by a chat that accidentally got into the same cage. The bull's mate has taken on a melanistic phase. This bird died Sunday 17th and was received at the museum Thursday. The gonads were almost entirely decompose but both Dr Muller and I judged it was a male. There seemed to be two enlarged testes soft but outlined visibly. The weight was taken Thursday. acc 4608 866 ? Spinx A pallidus Sent in by L Morgan Boyers.
