Behle 1935 Berkeley, Alameda Co. Calif. Feb. 18, 1935 861 ♀ Red-tailed Hawk in 1st year plumage - saved as skeleton for exchange purposes, not accessioned. Picked up by Joy Jesure at Sunol, near Calaveras Dam, Alameda Co., California on Feb. 18, 1935. Had been shot by local hunters and found wounded by Miss Jesure, a zoo/13 student acc. 4590 862 one egg of Chaenopelia minuta 863 one egg of Oreoepelia montana 864 Two eggs of Chalephaps indica These eggs brought in by Mr E.W. Sifford Feb. 19, 1935 from his aviary in Oakland. Feb. 21, acc 4596 865 Chickadeer ♂? 7.0 grams Study skin This bird brought in by Mr Kinsey from his aviary in Marin Co., Calif. It was trapped about three years ago and has been caged ever since. In captivity with each molt it became gradually whiter until last fall after the abnormal molt it was entirely white with the exception of part of the primaries. Then it started to regain pigmented feathers with the spring molt. Just as it was becoming interesting it died.
