Picked up by Joy Jesure at Sunol, near Calaveras Dam, Alameda Co., California on Feb. 18, 1935. Sifford Feb. 19, 1935 from his aviary in Oakland. Feb. 21, acc 4596 865 Chickadeer ♂? 7.0 grams Study skin This bird brought in by Mr Kinsey from his aviary in Marin Co., Calif. It was trapped about three years ago and has been caged ever since. In captivity with each molt it became gradually whiter until last fall after the abnormal molt it was entirely white with the exception of part of the primaries. Then it started to regain pigmented feathers with the spring molt. Just as it was becoming interesting it died.
