1935
Berkeley, Alameda Co., Calif.
Feb. 16,
under L.M. Boyers he saw 7 Horned Larks about
100 yards from the station feeding along the
tracks in the open spots between the patches
of snow. Two were shot out of the flock between
5:15 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. The flock would
flush and circle around and land a
hundred feet away. Altitude 5850 feet.
These are definitely not O.A. sierra reported
from there by Oberholser. Probably O.A. lamprochoma
possibly O.A. actia.
