W.H.Behle 1935. Berkeley, Alameda Co., Caly. Feb. 4th 843 Turdus m. propinquus ♂ acc. 4580 81.5g. Brought in by Miss Carol Mills of Berkeley. As she was walking along this bird was pursuing another of its kind and flew directly into her leg bruising it and breaking the volims neck or at least killing it! saved as study skin. 844 Cedar Waxwing ♂ not accessioned but saved as a skeleton for exchange. Found on sidewalk by by Mrs M.H. Edwards of 959 Ventura street, Berkeley. Was weak and evidently suffering from an intestinal disment. Feb. 9th 845 Rhaps chalcoptera ♂ From away of E.W.Gifford, Oakland. Testes O Body emaciated and weight not taken. Study skin. acc.4585 Feb. 16 846 ♂ Otocoris alpestris Testes o 847 ♀ " " ovary ... gonads show signs of activity. These two birds collected by L.M.Bogers at Truckee, Nevada co., Calif. on Feb. 15,1935. Shot along railroad track adventiciously soiled with scat. along Truckee River. See correspondence.
