These 23 horned larks taken nov. 26, and
sent in thru the mail arriving at M.I.Z. on
the 28th, were then weighed and put up.
carcasses saved for anatomical dissections
in connection with age differences. Each carcass
has a skull tag with field no. etc corresponding
to study skin.
Noted the lack of yellow on these birds
and the yellowish throat mostly lacking. Two
specimens had cross bills. Acc. 4518
