Baldwin 1934 241 Springer Spring, 7000ft., Mt. Irish Lincoln Co., Nevada. Sept. 26, 1934. This 17th there was half an inch of ice in the water pail. It soon warmed up when the sun came over the hill. Both Findale and I went over to the conifers. Shot one junco and a Chipping Sparrow in the Onions and Junipers. Saw and heard Chuckarles but didn't obtain any. That once that I heard a Nuttatch but didn't see the bird. Was cold and a little breezy. In the afternoon proceeded down the road two miles and worked thru a dense stand of pinons and junipers while Findale skinned birds in the car. Shot one Woodhouse Jay, 1 Titmouse, 2 Spotted Towhees and 1 Ringlets. Just the one Titmouse was seen also there were several Jays and many Towhees seen and heard. Sept. 27, 1934. Returned down the canyon to the dense Onion and Junipers hunting for Titmouses. Saw a pair but only obtained one. Saw a Sharp-shinned Hawk and a White-throated Swift. There seemed to be a continual move ment of Onion Jays back and forth to the water hole. About 10:30 I walked up the canyon to the divide where just before noon
