Behle 1933 Mad River fork, 2700 ft. above Ruth, Trinity co. Calif. May 20 56 ♂ Chipping Sparrow wt. 11.2 grams. Taken by R.M. Gilmore 2 miles up the river. From flock on ground, 2700 ft. altitude. Tester size of a pea O Taken on May 19. 57 ♀ Audubon Warbler wt. 12.1 grams. Ovary ?? Taken on May 19, by R.M. Gilmore 2 miles E of Mad River fork. In Black Oak - altitude of approximately 2700 ft. 58 ♂ Peromyscus truei crown 200 X 104 X 24 X 30 wt 31g. rembs crown 59 ♀ Peromyscus truei 193 X 100 X 24 X 19 wt. 26.9g. 60 ♀ Bush tit wt. 5.3 g. Taken in manzanita bush on May 20. Ovary well developed :* May 21. Last night I added ten more mouse traps to the Grinnell-Behle line and also eight meeker gather traps for moles - i.e. one facing either way along the mole runway so that there were in reality four sets. All were in one location about 15 yds apart. Considerable evidence of mole workings. One mole was taken. The mole runs, easily discernible by their pushed up covering, extended out in open space between manzanita bushes at the edge of
