Belle 1934. 237 Selman Cr. 7500 ft. Snake mts, White Pine co, Nevada. Sept. 22, 1934. flow from the surface of a large granite outcropping. I have called this locality Selman Cr. 7500 ft., because the creek has no name and the country is practically the same. Baker Cr. 9500 ft., Snake mts, White Pine Co, Nevada. Sept. 23, 1934. Worked all morning in coniferous forest on the south facing slope. Pinus flexilis, Pseudotsuga Taxifolia, Abies concolor, Populus Tremuloides were the trees in this area with some mt. mahogany and Arctostaphylos. Cold and windy with clouds pouring over from the west. usual setups of chickadees, juncos red-breasted Nuthatches. Many woodpecker holes noted along the way. Selman Cave to Caliente White Pine to Lincoln Co, Nevada. Sept. 24, 1934. Drizzled most of the night and ceiling low. Went to town of Baker. Mr Kaufman, the garage man seems to run the country.
