Sept. 18, 1934.
thus yab-yab-yabs all of different tones.
A Hermit warbler was taken in
this dense patch just as the Chickadees
and Nut-hatches came along but
probably was not traveling with
them. A Hermit Thrush taken here.
Sept. 19, 1934
Remained in camp all day skimming
the birds shot yesterday. Finndale went
over to Baker Creek! The Horned Owl
had eaten a shrike evidently because
it smelled to high heaven especially
about the legs and tail.
Most of the specimens collected yester-
day were taken around 8500 ft.. The
campous timber begins about here on
the canyon floor.

Drove over to this creek which is the next
one south of Schman cr. The road goes
up about 4 miles and trails continue
up the forks. General layout much
the same as Schman cr. possibly
