A Hermit warbler was taken in this dense patch just as the Chickadees and Nut-hatches came along but probably was not traveling with them. A Hermit Thrush taken here. Sept. 19, 1934 Remained in camp all day skimming the birds shot yesterday. Finndale went over to Baker Creek! The Horned Owl had eaten a shrike evidently because it smelled to high heaven especially about the legs and tail. Most of the specimens collected yester- day were taken around 8500 ft..
