Behle 1934. 228 Salmon River at Shoshone Cr., 5000 ft., Elko Co, Nevada Sept. 16, 1934 place known as Riverside Park we Collected in this willow country. Here at last the Long-tailed Chickadees were found. Inside shooting several of them. Also seen in these willows were juncos or Brewers? Acedular Warblers, Chipping Sparrows? White-crowned Sparrows one Great Blue Heron and one Great Horned Owl, Dove We drove over to San Jacinto and then East about 20 miles to another stand of Junipers. only limited half an hour here saw it was hot and sun other birds were spoiling. Inside shot at a Great-Horned Owl and I saw a Sparrow Hawk . returned to Wells. Also seen at the Salmon River locality were a Sparrow Hawk, a Kingfisher , and golden Ouleolated Warblers., Red-tail Hawk, Prairie Falcon Wells to Ely to Lehman Caves. Elko to White Pine Co Sept. 17, 1934. Instead of going to Wendover as originally planned we took the direct route to Ely by way of Currie . The country all the way is barren sagebrush and greasewood flats. About 9 miles NW. Currie we came across a flock of 200 or more Horned Larks. a
