Plush, Warner Valley, Aug 24th Returned to the location 2 miles north of Plush after more Horned Larks. I was very anxious to obtain more adult males since the majority of the ones put up yesterday were ♀♀ and immature ♂♂. I shot about 16 birds and of this number but one was an adult ♂. I started to return to the car and on the way in shooting at random picked up 5 or 6 adult ♂♂ one after the other. We again pitched the tent and skinned ten more birds. I noted several Turkey Vultures and one Marsh Hawk this morning while hunting. After I had disturbed a bunch of Clark's they flew around and started to come to rest again in shady places.
