Behle 1934 West of Salt Lake Airport, Salt Lake co., Utah June 16 bare ground. Some of the more salty areas had only Salicornia growing. Other areas had greasewood. Horned Larks were found in the salt weed areas but were most abundant in the greasewood areas. Long-billed Curlews were numerous in fact more so than I had expected. In an area of about 1 1/2 square miles eight were noticed. Our presence seemed to disturb them because they took to the air with raucous calls. Three Lark Sparrows were shot in the same locality as the Horned Larks 418 8 O. a. leucolaena 419 J juv. " " 420 ? " " 421 ? jiv. " " 422 J " " " 423 8 " " " 424 8? " " Eggs 425 8 " " " 426 8 " " "
