Drehle 1934 South Farallon Island, Pacific Ocean April 13- During as has been reported for these birds. The eyes of the adults appeared blue. Some Baird Cormorants were seen in flight conspicuous because of the white flank patches. In some places at the foot of cliffs on the north side of the island bits of nesting material were being accumulated but I do not know by what birds. They attracted me because numerous bunches of Hydroids were present attached to coralline sea weed.
