W.H. Behle 1933 Berkeley, Ala. Co., Calif. U.C. Campus. Strawberry Canyon. March 4, 1933 Trap line of 20 traps (4 rat traps and 16 mouse traps) set out at 5:30 P.M. at a point south of the Botanical gardens. They were placed from the stream up along the south side of Strawberry Canyon for 50 yards. Streamside habitat yielded one shrew; underbrush habitat on hillside yielded four Peromyscus; and one pocket mouse taken near a bar facing under some fanels collected March 5,1933 at 6:15 P.M. Four other traps spring. The mouse traps were placed in promis- locations. The rat traps were placed on woodrat nests but were undisturbed. The trap that caught the pocket mouse was placed near the entrance to a hole.
