Salt Lake City, Salt Lake Co. Utah Jan. 1. of the residents of Egg and Flat Islands. Also he banded about 25 or 30 pelicans terns and cormorants. Elmer Berry also banded a few more on the same trip. About a dozen people went on the trip, got caught in a storm and everything was ruined. Sugden says the same thing as Johnson regarding the small number of pelicans. I saw his notes of both places and was particularly pleased to see so many young cormorants on Egg Island, all practically full grown. In the net I counted roughly some 65 young. The nests looked much the same as before. This past year Sugden located a colony of twelve breeding birds in the Bear River marshes of the Euganza Heron.
