being in storage. Birds quite fat
necessitating their being degreased in
gasoline. The pizine tag is with
one of the specimens, viewed as skeleton.

I could see no explanation
for the death of the bird except
that it might have flown against
a window. The cut on the side
of the head gave some indication of
this possibility.
I was surprised to find
the bird quite fat but the layer
of fat instead of being soft and
greasy were hardened like out of
beef and were closely attached
