Behle 1933 Coyote Peak, 3000 ft., Humboldt Co., Calif. June 10- Timber; clear in the evening with some sun filtering thru the trees. Birds in a burst of song. one different bird not mentioned yet was a Russet-backed Thrush. In the afternoon a Raven perched in a dead tree 150 ft. above ground, called a few times preened a little and flew away. last evening at 6:45 a Horned Owl was heard briefly. One shallow pond in the francis this afternoon was swimming with Hyla Tadpoles and two Adult Hylas were taken nearby. The clear fog-less conditions this evening are quite in contrast to the dripping soggy conditions of the past two days during which time away too, every lush and plant was soaked and dripping. A road worker who claims to have lived around here 10yrs said such long unbroken spells of fog and rain were very rare. I have noted
